Monday

Hi ho, when it snows
We can't keep painting pictures.
I know you're too old
To keep being little.

Small feet, tired fleet
Of boats that keep me waiting.
Why do you keep me waiting?
I'll wait here all day for you.

Hey ho, blankets I fold
And put away in summer,
But I miss the heavy weight
Piled atop me in slumber.

Will you take their place, my friend?
Keep me safe, not cold.
You tie me up without any rope;
Tie me with your firm hold.

Light lips, I have, but kisses
Do leave them in red torture.
I tortured them so bad before
By stabbing holes, but that's over.

I hurt myself in new ways now;
I cut with words thrown at others.
They always come back
To their mother.
